Webinar | Presentation of Co-UDlabs project

Date : 13th of October | 10 am-12 am

This webinar will officially introduce Building Collaborative Urban Drainage research labs communities (Co-UDlabs). This is an EU H2020 funded project, based on the common goal – and impending necessity – to develop efficient and effective co-operation between scientists, researchers, and practitioners in the face of the increasingly pressing challenges of Urban Drainage System management.

Co-UDlabs will offer free Transnational Access (TA) to 17 high-end experimental facilities including laboratories, field sites and large repositories of experimental data in order to conduct research on topics such as:

– Testing novel monitoring solutions (e.g. computer vision, deep-learning and IoT applications) in the water and wastewater management sector

– Generate and process data to investigate the deterioration of urban drainage assets

– Test protocols, software and hardware aiming to improve the resilience and sustainability of urban drainage solutions

The access to experimental facilities aims to encourage co-operation among researchers, practitioners, SMEs, local regulators and administrations to tackle challenges in the management and operation of wastewater systems. We look forward to establishing research consortia based on a mix of academic and non-academic partners – with specific focus on the engagement of SMEs active in this field of work.
